KHRI TESTING LAB GETTING NABL ACCREDITATION FOR NEW SCOPES

Kerala Highway Research Institute Testing Laboratory, the apex testing laboratory of Kerala PWD is equipped with advanced testing facilities for soil, building materials, and non-destructive testing. In January 2021, the laboratory was first accredited with NABL certification for 61 test parameters. Seven more test parameters got NABL accreditation in the year 2022. In the year 2023 KHRI testing laboratory has been accredited by NABL for 57 additional test parameters, thus making a total of 125 NABL-accredited parameters. Tests for new materials/products namely, Fly ash, Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS), Silica fume, Bitumen emulsion, Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks, etc. have been added to the newly accredited list of scope apart from the existing test materials like soil, cement, concrete, bricks, solid blocks, paver blocks, steel, aggregates, and bitumen.
