Training on Road Safety Audit

KHRI organised a 3 day training programme on ‘Road Safety Audit’ from December 19-21, 2022, for PWD Engineers, in association with HRD cell.  It is important to identify potential safety hazards that could affect road users. Road Safety Audit plays a major role in formulating recommendations in the road design for mitigating these hazards. The training included the topics: ‘Road Safety Audit in existing and new projects’, ‘Construction Zone Safety’,  ‘Report Preparation of RSA’, ‘Crash Investigations’, ‘Identification and Rectification of Black Spots’, and ‘Role of Departmental Engineers in PPP/EPC regarding road safety’. The faculty for the training were Sri Ansar M (Dy. Chief Engineer, Vigilance, PWD), Sri S Shaheem (Principal Scientist, NATPAC), Smt P N Salini (Senior Scientist, NATPAC), Sri B Subin (Senior Scientist, NATPAC), Sri S Ebin Sam (Scientist, NATPAC) and Sri B Anish Kini (Scientist, NATPAC).
